As I’m puffing away, joint in hand, I raise it to you guys and say: cheers! Cheers to the real ones in this community — the people who are true, loyal, and respectful. The ones who are here for the right reasons: to help people, to build something bigger, and to lift up everyone around them.

I know I do. I know I love this community. And I know that while some people just talk, the ones who are really here, the ones who are part of the family — you are the reason I keep going, the reason I put in the hours, the reason I pour everything I have into this community every single day.

Most days, I work 20 hours straight, sometimes more, doing everything I can to support this community. From promoting creators, sharing amazing products, shining a light on craft growers and micro-producers, to helping the people who are really doing it right — I put in the work because I love it, not because I expect a single penny. And that’s the difference.

This Summer Is Going to Be Legendary

Here’s the part that gets me fired up: this summer, for the people who are truly part of the family, the ones who’ve shown respect, loyalty, and appreciation for the work I do — we’re about to do things bigger than ever before.

We’re talking collaborations, projects, events, and experiences that will elevate the 518 and beyond. We’re talking about shining a spotlight on the real craft growers, the real businesses, the people who do it right. The energy, the dedication, the love we’re going to put into this summer is going to be felt by everyone in this community — and by everyone watching from the sidelines.

And let me tell you something: those who aren’t part of this family? They’re going to watch from the sidelines while we’re making history. While they’re distracted chasing the wrong goals, we’re building something extraordinary. They’ll feel it. They’ll wish they were part of it. But that’s okay — this time, the focus is on the real ones, the people who actually care.
