Corporate Scum: You Can’t Fake the Funk

Let’s get one thing straight right off the bat — if your first move in the cannabis game was to print business cards and hire a marketing team before you even rolled a joint… we see you, corporate scum.

You can’t fake the funk. You might fool a few soccer moms looking for “CBD tea,” but you’re not fooling the culture — the real heads, the growers, the grinders, the ones who’ve been trimming, coughing, and passing blunts long before legalization was cool. We are the community, and we can smell a corporate poser faster than we can smell a fresh jar of Gelato.

See, the cannabis culture was built on love, not profit margins. It’s about community, care, and connection. The real ones risked everything back in the day just to keep the movement alive — long before your polished dispensary menu and your overpriced “artisan eighths” hit the shelf.

The people who built this world didn’t come for “market share.” They came with lighters, loyalty, and lungs of steel. They came with sticky fingers and stories that could fill a grow room. They built this culture out of compassion and curiosity — not corporate greed.

And now? Now we’ve got companies run by people who don’t even smoke weed trying to sell it to us. That’s like a vegan trying to open a steakhouse. You might know the recipe, but you’ll never know the flavor.

You can tell when weed is grown with love — it’s loud, it’s flavorful, it’s got soul. But when corporate suits get involved, the bud might look perfect… yet it hits like a bag of sadness and spreadsheets.

We’re not buying into your “premium tier” hype. We want the growers who care about terpenes, not the ones who care about “quarterly returns.” We want the people who still geek out over genetics and talk about flavor profiles like sommeliers of the smoke.

So here’s a little advice for the big-money brands trying to buy their way into our world:
If you don’t love this plant — really love it — then pack up your briefcases and take your boardroom buzzwords with you. Because you can’t just throw on a flat-brim hat, say “420-friendly,” and expect to be one of us.

This isn’t a cash grab. It’s a culture. And around here, love still grows stronger than greed.

So yeah, keep your charts and projections. We’ll keep the real fire — the kind that comes from the heart, not a hedge fund.

And remember: in the cannabis community, authenticity isn’t optional. It’s inhaled.
